So I've settled into North Rocks now. I'm living with Peter, Mary & Sue Mason. Got my own room with more storage than I've ever had before! Finding my way around Sydney more, usually by trial and error and trying to find my place here in this massive metropolis. Thinking about taking up outdoor soccer and maybe dancing of some sort. Will be starting at Gloria Jeans this week after my induction on Wednesday. In the meantime, I've been doing a bit of painting for cash and doing a fair bit of study. I went climbing at Mt York, Mt Victoria with Daniel & Miles this weekend. That was so fun, can't wait to go again. Its great to be doing things I've been keen to do, and climbing gives you a good sense of accomplishment, when you get to the top.
It has been more challenging than I thought finding my place in Sydney, not just a geographical area, but finding friends. Coming from living in Mudgee for the last 14 or so years, and having a good group of friends, its a big change to start again. I'm expecting it to get easier when I'm in a routine of work and sport and making friends around that. Its just that I've been in Sydney a month now, and everything is taking longer to get sorted than I like, testing my patience, but God probably has a hand in it for a reason. I'll trust him.
